Mt Whitney

An adventure with the boys. I flew down from Seattle on a Thursday to LAX, where Josh picked me up. We rallied Parker from work an hour or so later and started the drive to Lone Pine to summit the tallest mountain the lower 48.
The approach, still under tree line.
Thirty seconds at f/1.8. Cold enough that the tripod legs stuck.
Before the sun cleared the crest.

The cables. Still snow on them in late September.
